Overview

Larkya Peak 6249m is in the Manaslu region which is least common to western tourist and is rated the 60th tallest peak standing in the world. The route to the majestic Larkya peak leads through Gorkha in the northwest. Top from Larkya peak inspiring view of Kang Guru (6981m), Annapurna II (7937m), Himlung Himal (7126m) is at its best. This peak is a bit tricky but is not so difficult to climb technically. Along the route there are settlements offering opportunity to discover sites and natives with different culture, ancient monasteries, prayer flags and wheels dotted along are always a familiar site throughout the trek.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 02: Trek preparation day/Climbing permit issue and necessary paperwork arrangements.

Day 03: By Bus: Kathmandu/Gorkha/Kalikasthan (1210m).

Day 04: Kalikasthan/Gairichap (1420m, 6h).

Day 05: Gairichap/Thala (2215m, 6h).

Day 06: Thala/Dharche pass (3245m)/Shambe (2930m, 6h).

Day 07: Shambe/Laprak (2200m, 3h).

Day 08: Laprak/Khorla Besi (1200m, 6h).

Day 09: Khorla Besi/Jagat (1300m, 6h).

Day 10: Jagat/Pewa (1900m, 6h).

Day 11: Nyak Besi/Ghap (2400m, 5h).

Day 12: Ghap/Sho (2700m, 5h).

Day 13: Sho/Sama Gaun (3400m, 5h).

Day 14: Sama Gaun/ Samdo (3800m, 4h).

Day 15: Acclimatization.

Day 16: Samdo/Larke Glacier (Dharamshala 4400m, 4h).

Day 16-20: Climbing Period.

Day 21: Larke Glacier/Bhimtang (3800m, 8h).

Day 22: Bhimtang/Tilije (2300m, 7h).

Day 23: Tilije/Jagat (1300m, 7h).

Day 24: Jagat/Bhulbhule (800m, 7h).

Day 25: By Bus: Bhulbhule/Besisahar/Kathmandu (157 km/7-8 hours: Drive by bus.

Day 26: Final departure transfer to Airport.

What's Include

  • Accommodation in 2 men Tents during Trek supported with dinning tent, Kitchen tent, Toilet tent, Shower tent, Table, chairs and Mattress.
  • Necessary kitchen utensils.

What's Not Include
  • Lunch and dinner while in Kathmandu or in Pokhara stay. 
  • Personal gears and expenses of personal nature and Personal medical and travel insurance emergency evacuation.
  • Hard and any form of soft drinks, tea / coffee.
  • All confectionary and snacks, Charges for desserts including shower and boiled drinking water, Phone calls, Laundry and Alcoholic beverages etc.
  • Any airfare: Domestic International departure taxes and any excess baggage charges.
  • Tips and Gratitude for Guides and Porters according to custom of trekking in Nepal.
